Replacing a lost, stolen or damaged driving licence or learner permit

If you need a replacement driving licence, apply to the National Driver Licence Service (NDLS). The replacement will be a copy of your original and valid for the same period. If you had a special driving licence code, for example, you must wear glasses when driving, it will still be there.

The Road Safety Authority has responsibility for driver licensing. The National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) manages licence applications and renewals.

You can apply online, which is the quickest way, or in person at an NDLS office.
